The arts communicate.

Guided by this principle, Arts Integration helps students learn and demonstrate learning in creative ways.

Our model promotes collaboration between teachers of visual & performing arts and teachers of other content areas.

We follow The Kennedy Center’s definition of Arts Integration, which supports Universal Design for Learning and promotes the arts as a way we grapple with and express ideas.

The Kennedy Center’s Definition of Arts Integration:

Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.
